I store a 10X14 family tent, ground cloth, tent poles, 20X20 tarp, & tarp poles in this bag. Very thick material. Sort of a funny closure system at the top where you place 4 grommets on a U clip and then clasp the shoulder strap to it, good enough for my purposes but be advised that it's not securely "zipped" or "tied" at the opening.
I like that the limitation on this bag is how much I can carry not how much it can hold.

The product was accurately described in the Amazon listing. It arrived quickly after the order was placed. This is no wimpy duffel bag. It is TOUGH. Heavy material and durable stitching make this item ready to take the hard knocks.

I got one of this bags when I was going to Brazil, and the next trip I got another one so I could have two. I've been carrying a lot of stuff back and forth (my family is staying there) and I am checking in from 5 to 6 bags everytime (ouch!) - I've done this trip twice with these bags, and the check in people on two different airlines didn't complain about the size (which I was sure they would - it's huge) - so, it has worked out great for me. Last trip, the plane broke at JFK, so the luggage went to Miami instead of brasil, then from Miami BACK to NYC, then to Brazil, was picked up by airport personnel, loaded into an open bed truck, and drove to my house down there - not exactly people who would care for your luggage. They are both still intact, and the grommet system for closing it has worked surprisingly well so far. I am getting a third one right now... ha!

These bags are very strong and well-made. However, I was confused by the dimensions: I initially ordered the 21x36 bag but I had to return it and order this larger one. As the bag is more or less round when packed with soft items like clothes, I had assumed that 21" on the 21x36 was the diameter. In fact, 21" is the width when the bag is folded flat (i.e., half the circumference); so the true diameter of the 21x36 is only about 14.5" (or 0.7 times the stated width); or, if the back is packed with something square, each of the four sides measures half the stated width (i.e., 10.5" for the 21x36). The so-called 30" width bag has a true diameter of 21" (which is what I wanted in the first place), or a square-side width of 15".
