Low Profile Olive Drab Death Spade Baseball Cap

Low Profile Olive Drab Death Spade Baseball Cap
Email a friendView larger image

This baseball cap is Olive Drab in color and the lettering and Logo are embroidered directly onto the brushed cotton cap, not onto a patch which is then stuck to the hat. We think this makes for a smoother, neater appearance and is the sign of a high-quality hat. That quality is also seen in its padded sweatband and the pre-curved brim. It is adjustable with a sliding metal buckle instead a cheap plastic clip .

4Good quality, but not exactly "low-profile"Jan 11, 2010
By Marine Veteran
I ordered this from Captain Dave's, as their price for the product and shipping was about the lowest I could find. About half what some of the other tactical shops wanted. It arrived within the predicted time frame, but it seemed 12 days was a bit long for a single item, especially a ball cap.

The cap is far better quality than I had anticipated for the price. It's made by Rothco, and although made in China, there were no flaws in the stitching or manufacture. The fabric is a good thick quality and the embroidery was clean and centered. The bill was centered on the cap (more than can be said for lots of licensed expensive caps).

The only real complaint I had was that this isn't exactly a "low profile". I wear a 7 1/8" size and this sits up pretty high on my head. It has the stiff backing behind the front panel to give it a firm shape. I was sort of hoping for more of the broken in feel that I've gotten from all the other "low profile" caps I've bought. But I figure a few weeks in the field and a couple times through the washer and this could become one of my favorites.

Overall a good buy at a great price.

5Exceptionally crafted cap:Apr 13, 2013

Caps:
The secret to a well designed cap in my opinion, is first, a stiff bill and front (facing) panel, aka crown. Second, the material used must be a sturdy blend. This cap is brilliantly crafted.
Lastly, if you wear a cap hiking and sweat profusely day in and day out, you can not go wrong with this cap.

Good luck.

5Great hat.Nov 08, 2012
By FrankL1955
I'm not a big hat wearer so it has to be something special for me to wear it. The army death spade is a classic and the quality of the hat seems the same as the mil-spec caps of my Army days. Besides wearing it drives the lib's nuts.
