Apparent poor quality.Aug 30, 2011
By Jesse J Is all paracord manufactured to the same standard? I think not. I have been purchasing 100' of paracord from Rothco and Army Universe. The Rothco cord feels heavier, seems stronger, and better constructed. The Army Universe is lighter and seems more like lighter duty cord. I thought this couldn't be because it's all 550lbs, 100% Nylon, 7 Strand, "certified government contractor." I weighed the two sealed packages of 100' and the Rothco weighed approximately 8.6oz, the Army Universe weighed approximately 7oz. That is a significant enough difference for me to not trust the abilities of this cord. I am very disappointed Army Universe.

US Made 550lb ParacordApr 14, 2012

I bought this paracord from Army Universe which has a large selection of bright colors and patterns. It is very strong. I use it to make lanyards for my knives & tools and bracelets for the kids. I DO NOT MAKE NECKLACES USING PARACORD. A word of warning about necklaces. if they get snagged on something, paracord is so strong that strangulation is a very real possibility. If you need a paracord necklace for a neck knife or whatever, For safety's sake use safety breakaway pop barrel connectors. On Ebay you can get a hundred for less than $10, shipping included. I can't find them on Amazon.
I received my order fast. Merchandise is as described. No unpleasant surprises. Just the way I like it. I will buy from Army Universe through Amazon again.

paracordMar 20, 2012
By rjoh8930 you would think that all paracord is the same but it can vary, not much but Ive noticed some is just slightly thicker than others. thuis brand is one of those. It is a bit bigger (gauge i guess you could say), this can be good or bad depending on what your use is for the paracord. if your making a bracelet you may wana go with rothco brand paracord its a little easier to work with, but if your gona make a gun sling or use it to make a rope or something else this is perfect paracord.

Good productFeb 09, 2012
By Zanos I make paracord bracelets and this was not to bad of a paracord to use. It is very strong, very durable however for 8 cents a foot there is better. Moreover, for bracelets I pre-shrink the cord by boiling it. Most paracord reacts very well however this one uses a quality sheath, so the inside shrunk while the outside did not. This caused the rope to have a wavey appearance. This is GREAT for every application except for the one when you wear it. However, once braided it will not look too bad. I would give 5 stars except the price could be a bit less and that the product's color is a little bit lighter then what we see in the picture (however this is a human error since our eyes a not well suited for mosaic type patterns).
