Ripstop RipoffAug 05, 2011
By E P Cooke I think this may be the lowest quality item I have ever purchased in my life. Seriously, how do you screw up a nylon poncho? The grommets on the one I received were bent, and the rings that are the grommet halves were only partially attached to each other because the flanged ring was not properly flared. This is so easy to do correctly it is hard to imagine that anybody could screw it up. The cord that is used in the drawstring hood and that is attached to the corners is of extremely low quality, and several of the pieces of cord had snags in them. The stitching had some irregularities in it. The rip-stop nylon is extremely thin. The Fox tag calls the product *COMBAT SPEC BUILT* which sounds a lot like mil spec, i.e. built to military specifications, but this isn't even built to dollar store standards. I feel like I was deceived, as I was hoping to buy a military-quality product.

Two of these will not snap togetherAug 07, 2011
By Hard Core Camper Decent product, for what it is ... It *will* cover my pack, when it is raining. There are NO SNAPS, on these ponchos ! You cannot snap two of these together, to form a shelter. For packing in the rain ? ... It's just dandy. But, it is just a nylon rip-stop poncho ... nothing more.
I am doubting this is milspec ... not that versatile.
Military ponchoJan 24, 2012
By rcp777 I purchased these military ponchos because they have the snap buttons and the grommets. The nylon is pretty cheap and thin as are the buttons and the grommets. In retrospect I should have purchased the 40 dollar poncho (unfortunately I have only found the higher quality in woodland cam and ACU pattern) so they last.
Great Product.Oct 22, 2011
By Paul'O Bought one for each of the family members for camping and carrying along with us on trips. Great product, liked it a lot.
